THIS OS IS WORKING ONLY WITH THE SILICON MOTION 3D VGA CARD, NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE NEW PCIExpress VGA Card.

LAST OS UPDATE AVAILABLE FOR THE ALL MEDIASTATION Keyboards where is installed the standard Silicon Motion 3D VGA Card!

• MEDIASTATION KUBUNTU SYSTEM OS :
• OS ISO CD Disk now il 608Mb size ( burn a CD ISO IMAGE by K3B)
• Update the Linux kernel Low latency 2.6.31 multimedia
• Support for up to 64Gb RAM system
• Some Fix on kernel for better loading the Midi alsa drivers on booting and restart player mode.
• Wine 1.1.28

FEATURES INCLUDED ON OS 3.3 UPDATE:

• MEDIASTATION SYSTEM OS :
• New Audio Jack connection Tool with the ID Audio channels reconization, do NOT need anymore sleeping time for create the all connection!
• Removed the all sleep time on startup for the Livestyler, now work also on SLOW CPU.
• Optimized the TCP network connection with Livestyler when startup, sometime Livestyler will not send and receive the correct TCP messages in time.
• Changed the Styles scanning mode: now the OS will scan at startup only the Category folders and the all styles will be scanned only when the category is selected. Speed up about 400X faster!
• NEW: removed from ASIO Patch Host 5, 6, 7, 8 the midi CC #120= all note off. In this way the last 4 ASIO Patch host can be used with any players or qranger without lose some notes when switching sounds engines. NOTE: When used this last 4 ASIO Patch on MS keyboard mode, remove any key pressed before change the engine OR the notes will remain in ON status.
• Under Format mode will setup the desktop with the Blue-blend Ubuntu desktop image.
• All the others features remain sames as the version 3.2.

• LINUXSAMPLER:
• Installed now the new Linuxsampler V. 1.0.1
  

• HOW TO INSTALL THE NEW OS 3.3.
• KEEP DATA MODE:
• Insert the CD disk in DVD driver and booting the mediastation ( need to be connected a PS2 keyboard)
• the Ubuntu installer will display two choice: KEEP DATA and FORMAT MODE, select the KEEP DATA and press ENTER on keyboard.
• When the installation is complete, the MS will eject the CD disk.
• Remove the CD from driver
• Reboot the Mediastation and enjoy the new OS 3.3 update.

• FORMAT MODE:
• Format mode can be a simple way to running the all MS system features just after formatted the HD and installed the 2 basic library.
• Format mode will include the new Presets folder, VST Library folder and the all new Qstyles folder!
• After the format HD mode, when the MS is running again, extract the missing library:
• Wine Backup folder where the all ASIO host are linked on Presets system
• GIGA SoundbankGM2V4.rar, for use the giga styles, Midiplayers and basic GIGA GM sounds of the sampler.
• After the two library are installed, just reboot the MS and enjoy your new OS 3.3.
• Livestyler need a new key registration from livestyler.de
• NOTE: After the first format mode, some slow CPU at the first booting will display the Ubuntu login interface. If this happen JUST force OFF the Mediastation and reboot again, the auto login will now be recalled correct.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL USERS:

• 2GB or more of RAM
• All Mediastation models with Silicon Motion PCI-LVDS card ONLY!
• AMD 64bit CPU Dual core recommended, for old 32bit Athlon CPU, and single Core CPU, the system Kubuntu is really slow and NOT JACK Optimized!

NOTE:

• THIS OS 3.3 DO NOT INCLUDE THE MULTIPLE DISPLAY OUTS!
• WORK ONLY ON OLD MEDIASTATION WITH THE SILICON MOTION 3D VGA!
• FREE DOWNLOAD FOR THE ALL MEDIASTATION USER 3.X!
